Results may be available the same day or early the next business day following delivery. Reports routinely include complete histological description of the lesion and where applicable, evaluation of surgical margins. Pathologist’s comments, recommendations and relevant prognosis information may also be provided.
Our full-service histology laboratory processes tissues and prepares histological slides for routine examination with H&E stains on site using state-of-the-art histology equipment. Slides are often available to the pathologist by the next business day following receipt of the samples. If requested at the time of submission, margin examination of excisional biopsies is included in the standard fee.
