Dr. Parnell is from Sumter, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate education at Wofford College and in 1987 graduated from the University of Georgie, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her residency in the UGA CVM Department of Pathology for two years while finishing her doctoral degree. In 1993, she served as a diagnostic pathologist with the Clemson Veterinary Diagnostic Center, and successfully completed the certification examination of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 1995. She served as Director of the CVDC from 2001 through 2006. In 2007 she left public service to open PVPS.

Dr. Dolce is from Columbia, South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate education at Clemson University in 1997 before attending Tuskegee University for Veterinary training. She completed a clinical pathology residency at Kansas State University and obtained ACVP certification in clinical pathology in 2004. Karen served as a diagnostic pathologist at the Clemson Veterinary Diagnostic Center for four years before joining PVPS in June of 2009. Dr. Dolce was certified in anatomic pathology in 2013, placing her in an elite group of double-boarded veterinary pathologists.

Alex is from Gaston, South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina in 2020, attaining a B.S. in biology. She has been at PVPS since 2019 as the laboratory assistant. She is currently studying medical laboratory science. Alex has two dogs at home, Little Foot and Nova, and a ball python named Lydia.
